Who can take part in the expedition?
Everybody who likes cycling can participate in the expedition, there
are no age limits. Nevertheless, everybody under age of 18 has to be
accompanied by an adult.
How long is a daily route and how is it guided?
The approximate length of a daily route is 60-80 km. We tend to
guide you through backroads only, that let us admire the surroundings
and give us the full joy of cycling.
Who took part in the previous expeditions?
Old and young cyclists from different countries. Last year, in the
"Nordcapp - Olimpia" expedition, participated 210 cyclists from 21
countries, the 7 most persistent ones cycled all the distance - 7700
km! The expedition lasted 3,5 months.
What exactly covers the fee I am about to pay?
The fee covers the cost of luggage transport and accomodation only.
All other expenses (like food, tickets) must be covered individually.
Are the participants insured?
Every participant should take care of getting insured individually.
What should I take with me for the expedition?
Apart from a good bike, a camping equipment like: tent, sleeping
bag, kitchenware. A good cycling outfit - it doesn't mean of course
only the professional one, it depends on what you like - just make sure
you're prepared for all kind of weather. Of course we recommend taking
cycling pants and a helmet (especially the last one!) Your luggage will
be carried separately, but please consider taking panniers, which can
be useful.
For those, who plan to follow the route in Ukraine please don't forget to take a valid passport!
Where will we stay for the nights?
This is the point of our "croto-philosophy", that is - we should
call it by the name - a kind of vagabondage. Usually the places we stay
for the night are arranged with the help of local authorities. Most
often these are schools or other places where we have access to the
water and where we can put up our tents. Every morning/evening you will
be informed where will be the place where we stay for the night that
day.
What is the deadline for enrollment?
You can sign in for the expedition up to June 15 th , 2005. After this date please contact us directly.
How can I pay my participation fee?
To do that, please contact us first.
What is happening to the fee I've paid in case I resign?
In case of resignation the participation fee will be reimbursed according to the following rules:
- up to 30 days before the start of the expedition - 100% reimbursement
- from 10 to 30 days before the start of the expedition - 50% reimbursement
- less then 10 days before the start of the expedition - no reimbursement
The reimbursement will take place in 30 days from the resignation date. |
