Great Millennium Peace Ride
- The Great Millennium Peace Ride may no longer be a ride of five hundred bicyclists around the world, but local affiliates, as here in Senegal, did establish smaller millennium peace rides, such as those scheduled for March 1999 in Kaolack and Ziguinchor (Casamance), at least according to the Senegalese Minister of Youth and Sports, which also organized several conferences on the theme, "The New Millennium, stakes and challenges."
